FAQ

What is aesthetic medicine?
Aesthetic medicine is the practice of using non-invasive and minimally-invasive procedures to change physical features on the face and body.
What can aesthetic medicine do for my body?
During our initial consultation, we’ll talk about your goals, and then make a treatment plan to reach them. We’re not here to tell you that you look good (you do!); we’re here to help you feel like your truest and best self.
What products and services does North Bay offer?
North Bay offers several FDA-approved medical treatments including dermal fillers, neurorelaxers, deoxycholic acid, microneedling with platelet-rich plasma and minimally invasive PDO thread lifts. We utilize these tools to change, augment and/or slim your face, and for reduction of wrinkles and mitigation of sagging or loss of fullness.
Will my procedure be painful?
Injectables, intravenous lines, and any procedures requiring needles through the skin are likely to have some mild stinging, pinching, swelling, and/or discomfort.

Depending on the treatment you choose, we may use injectable or topical numbing agents, such as lidocaine, to minimize pain. Ice packs will be available to you for preparation prior to injections.

What should I expect during my first consultation?
Your first consultation will be a discussion between you and a licensed medical provider about pertinent medical history (we’ll only ask what we need to know for your safety— we believe that your business…is your business!), any allergies and goals of treatment. Your provider will answer any questions you have about each treatment type, side effects, contraindications and healing time. Once you are comfortable and decided, your treatments can begin (same day, time-allowing!).
What are your safety protocols?
Your safety is our priority, and as medical practitioners, our safety protocol is already high.

Our staff  is fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and continues to be screened daily for any signs or symptoms of COVID-19 disease.

We practice exceptional infection control between patients and will wear gloves and a surgical mask during all client interactions, and we ask that you also wear a mask during your visit (apart from any procedures on the jaw, lips or around the mouth). Treatment rooms are all fully sterilized between patients.

What if I am not satisfied with my aesthetic treatment?
Patient comfort and satisfaction is truly of the highest importance to the North Bay Team. While we hope you will be thrilled with your interactions with us and with  your results, if you are ever unhappy with any treatment, we will see you at no cost to address your concerns.
What is the upkeep for aesthetic services?
Clients who utilize neurorelaxers (Botox, Dysport and Xeomin) usually require quarterly treatments (every three months) for wrinkle reduction and lift. Dermal fillers are metabolized differently in every body, but most last anywhere from 12-24 months. Fillers are often layered over time, and different parts of the face and body may be treated in different treatment sessions.
How do I know what’s right for me?
We offer free consultations over video-enabled HIPAA-compliant Zoom, for those who have access and wish to use the platform for your first meeting with North Bay. You can also schedule a free, no-pressure in-office consultation to help us better understand your aesthetic goals, and discuss how we can help you reach them.
Where do you see clients? Is your office accessible?

True Self + Gender Affirming Services

Do I have to submit documentation to be considered for the True Self Program?
No, we will not ask for any documentation to qualify for this program.
What if I need a touch-up?
We are committed to offering True Self clients repeat services every 2-3 years as needed for upkeep.
What products or services are eligible for no-cost care in the True Self Program?
We offer a full range of dermal fillers from both the Restylane and Juvederm product lines to provide facial and neck treatments. Neurorelaxers (Botox, Dysport and Xeomin) are no longer covered by the True Self Program, but are available at a 20% discount to all TS participants.
